1st Mile helps finding research and development financing


In contrast to the venture investors, project funding is given out after application to public programs. The programs will support or reject a project according to specified criteria.

Among the programs 1st Mile has assisted in writing application for are

  • EUDP (Energy technology research and demonstation program)
  • Energinet.dk (also known as PSO funding or ForskEL)
  • The Advanced Technology Fund (Højteknologifonden)
  • EU Framework Program 7 (FP7)
  • Intelligent Energy Europe
  • New, emerging programs such as the Danish GUDP and MUDP will also be served by 1st Mile.


1st Mile works out applications for research and development programs in cooperation with the company. We make sure that the application lives up to all the demands and that the business plan is well made. It is important not only to focus on the technology part of the application but also the business part of the application. And you have to make sure, that your project fits the area of the program.
